Image Resizer - Resize Images to Any Dimension Online

About the Image Resizer

Resize any image to precise pixel values directly in your browser, from a 1920x1080 hero image to a 400x400 social media thumbnail or a custom dimension for an email template. The aspect ratio lock ensures proportions stay correct, and built-in presets cover the most common sizes so you can resize in a single click.

The resized image can be exported as JPEG, PNG, or WebP, giving you control over both dimensions and format. Because the tool uses the Canvas API locally, your files never leave your device.

How to Use the Image Resizer

Upload an image by dropping it onto the upload area or clicking to browse. Enter the desired width and height in pixels, or select one of the common presets (for example, 1920x1080, 1280x720, or 800x600). Toggle the aspect ratio lock on or off depending on whether you want to preserve proportions. Choose an output format and click the resize button to generate and download the result.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a maximum image size I can resize?
The practical limit depends on your browser and device memory. Most modern browsers can handle images up to around 16,384 pixels on a side, though very large canvases may slow down older devices. For typical photography and web images, you are unlikely to hit any limit.
How does the aspect ratio lock work?
When the aspect ratio lock is enabled, changing the width automatically calculates a matching height (and vice versa) so the image keeps its original proportions. This prevents stretching or squashing. Disable the lock if you need to set width and height independently.
What output formats are available?
You can export the resized image as JPEG, PNG, or WebP. JPEG works well for photographs and produces small files. PNG is best for images with transparency or sharp edges like logos. WebP offers a good balance of quality and file size and is supported by all modern browsers.
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. The resizing happens entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Your image stays on your device throughout the process. Nothing is transmitted over the network.
